What is Capital Equipment?

Capital Equipment is that equipment that has a cost above a specific mark set by each individual hospital. Capital or inventorial equipment can be defined as items:

  • with an acquisition cost of $5,000 or more, including but not limited to tax, freight, and installation cost;
  • are not disposable or consumable;
  • are stand alone;
  • has a useful life of one year or more;
  • qualifies as a tangible personal property,
