Renee Balliet has more than 10 years of experience in the field of genetics and molecular diagnostics, including evidence evaluation, analysis, and synthesis; leadership and advising; business development; scientific/medical project management; development, presentation, and marketing of scientific information; and preclinical research. In addition, she is skilled in conducting systematic searches of medical literature, genetic databases, and regulatory databases. Dr. Balliet leads product innovation and enhancements for the genetics and molecular diagnostics solutions at TractManager. As Product Manager, she has oversight of writing and editorial review to ensure the scientific and clinical quality and integrity of molecular diagnostic reports, and she provides guidance for the analyst team. She has presented at numerous professional meetings and has provided educational programs both for Hayes staff and clients.
Prior to joining Hayes, Dr. Balliet was a Program Administrator for the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). During her time there, her responsibilities included scientific review of grants and promotional materials, and managing relations between grantees and funders. Dr. Balliet also served as a faculty member at Thomas Jefferson University, where she had authored and coauthored numerous papers in the fields of pharmacogenetics and oncology.
Dr. Balliet earned her BS in Biology from Moravian College and both her PhD in Genetics and her MBA from Penn State University. She has received awards and grants for her work, published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and presented her findings at scientific conferences.
