Dr. Ostrander has over 16 years of experience in the healthcare field, including evidence evaluation, analysis, and synthesis; leadership and management; evidence-based healthcare policy and implementation; scientific/medical writing and editing; development and presentation of skills training and professional education programs; and preclinical and secondary research. During her time with Hayes, she has authored or edited over 200 HTA or comparative effectiveness research (CER) reviews across a wide spectrum of topics. Prior to joining Hayes in 2008, she worked as a medical program manager developing evidence-based medical education programs on mental health topics.
Dr. Ostrander earned a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan and a BS in Psychology at the Ohio State University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. She received research service award grants from the National Institutes of Health that supported her graduate and postgraduate work. Her publications include nearly twenty papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals and she is an experienced presenter of webinars on a variety of health care topics.
