Dallas/Chattanooga (October 1, 2018) – Winifred “Wini” S. Hayes, founder and CEO emerita of Hayes Inc., will be inducted into the Bellwether League’s Hall of Fame for Healthcare Supply Chain Leadership tonight in Chicago. The League honors innovators, pioneers, and visionaries for their contributions to the industry. Dr. Hayes is one of seven new members who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame ceremony tonight. Bill Donato, General Manager of MD Buyline, was inducted into the League in 2013, and will be joining Wini and her husband, Rob; Maura Connor, Chief Operating Officer of Hayes; and Chris Kocsis, Chief Talent Officer of TractManager, on this special evening.
Inductees are selected for their achievements and contributions in the delivery of quality care through efficient and innovative supply chain operations.
Wini was cited for her five-decade career during which she “made the concept of evidence-based clinical value analysis an acceptable household term among healthcare organizations striving to access equipment and technology needs as well as link clinical decisions to strategic cost management discussions.”
“We are thrilled that Wini has been recognized by this prestigious organization,” said Trace Devanny, CEO of TractManager. “Her insistence on integrating evidence into decision-making by healthcare leaders has elevated Hayes to the status of industry leader among both providers and payers in the assessment of healthcare technologies.”
The Bellwether Board selects professionals with a minimum of 25 years of exemplary service and leadership performance in supply chain operations who meet its criteria to be publicly recognized as Bellwether Class Honorees. Those honored demonstrate their qualifications by advancing the profession through work experience and performance and active participation in professional organizations and their communities.
Wini founded Hayes, Inc., in 1989 in response to a growing need in the healthcare industry for evidence-based assessments of health technologies. Under her leadership, Hayes has become an industry leader in providing unbiased, timely, clinically focused, evidence-based research and analysis to health plans, insurers, hospitals, healthcare systems, ACOs, and government agencies.
Wini received her Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health (Bloomberg School of Public Health).
